When I look ahead at the few years of my life, I'm almost in awe of the incredible amount of life changing decisions I will have to make. I thought I had my life planned out at one point, and now I have all these new circumstances and decisions to make. And I'm happy to be a little older and at least a little wiser now when I'm making them!
One of the biggest decisions weighing on my mind right now is where to live. My lease in my apartment is up on July 31st and I will not be leasing another year..at least I HOPE not! I absolutely LOVE the pool in the summer, but that's ALL I love about it! They've been allowing more and more college students or 18-22 year olds move in and it just isn't the best environment to be raising a child in!
Mom and Dad are moving over to Spokane in July; HOPEFULLY!! That is if everything goes well with Dad's transfer over here. I know pretty much for sure that I will be living with them for a few months. Especially if my house hasn't sold yet. Which it isn't on the market yet because plummers apparently don't return phone calls. Living with them will allow me to save some money finally AND replace all of my broken, worn out things that I haven't been able to replace since paying a mortgage and rent for two years. My list currently includes an Ipod that fits more than 240 songs; a MacBook Pro and a Wii (for the Wii Fit of course!!). I also need a new mattress and would love to replace some of my goodwill items I bought when I moved out..i.e. kitchen table that wobbles and chairs that I have to warn people about before they sit in!
So where do I go from there? Well... I might have the option of renting from my parents in one of their rental houses. It's only two streets up from their house over here BUT it's also mine and Tim's first house. I'm not sure about living there again. The school there is fabulous..so that would be good for Bella. But I just don't know! The majority of my friends live on the south side of town so there is a certain pull to move closer to them. I really believe in living in a neighborhood where you can get to know your neighbors AND really get involved in their lives! This is much easier when you have a group of friends around you to help you do this. The neighbors in the sub-burbs that I would be living in up north tend to pull into their garage and close the door and you can't see them over the 6 foot high composite fence in your back yard.
It's almost overwhelming thinking about making these kinds of decisions. The Perry District on the south hill that I really want to move back to has a elementary school that is not known for it's quality. I can't homeschool because I have to work. And as long as Tim and I have joint decision making he would NEVER agree to that anyways!
Ugh... I guess I just have to trust God that he will open the doors to the future that he wants me to have and will direct me to where he wants me to live. I've never been real good at being patient for doors to open ;-).
